What's New at the library...

The Pineville Library is now OPEN on MONDAYS

Here are our new extended hours:
Monday-Friday: 9 AM to 7 PM
Saturdays: 9 AM to 5 PM
Closed Sundays

Get ready for our new & improved...
Summer Reading Program!

Now
with a great reading incentive program for

7th-12th grade students:

Exchange your reading time logs for Gift Cards to many of your favorite retail stores, and you'll be automatically entered into a grand prize drawing for a brand new Nintendo Wii game system.

Of course, we still offer lots of fun toy prizes to our readers 6th grade and younger, and special infant toy selections for non-reading toddlers as rewards when you take that all-important time to read to them.

Homeschooled children can participate too - everyone is welcome!

NEW Online databases available at the library... Give them a try!
GALE Chilton Library When it comes to auto repair, do-it-yourselfers and automotive students have trusted Chilton references for years.  Now all of these helpful resources are available in one simple-to-use database, providing quick access to repair, maintenance and service information on the most popular cars, trucks, vans and SUVs on the road today.
GALE Legal Forms With this database, users have access to thousands of customizable online legal documents, avoiding hours of research and time often required to develop their own documents.
GALE Testing Reference Center This provides users with in-depth information on colleges and universities, graduate and professional programs, distance learning, corporate training, available scholarships, preparatory entrance tests and much more.
These databases are available from computers inside the library and our wireless network.
Access from your home or business computer is not available at this time.

Our library's NEW user & print management system is:  CASSIE

Cassie makes it easier for you, since there are no more Sign-In/Out Sheets necessary...  Just sit down at any Public-Access computer displaying the "Cassie Cat" logo with a green "Available" box on the screen. To log in, just use your existing McDonald County Library card number and PIN (password) and you're ready to go...
Get all the details about CASSIE here!

The McDonald County Library has operated with
the same tax levy since the beginning...

And think what an amazing return you get for that tiny little portion of each dollar! We offer you only the best in materials and services, and we wish to continue meeting your needs...
If a small levy increase for the library is passed, we will be able to be open on Mondays, offer additional programs and services, and continue to meet the needs of every county citizen.
Remember, we only run on property tax - we receive no portion of sales tax money.

Please support us at election time.
