Fun for Everyone!
We've put a lot of effort into making this computer as easy to use as possible. Even if you aren't a "Computer Expert" you are encouraged to use this computer to experiment with and teach yourself some fun and useful new programs.

And you don't have to worry about "messing up" - this computer has a quick and easy "restore" option, that does three things:
  1. It "erases" any mistakes that you've made
  2. It deletes any personal information or programs you may have left behind
  3. It restores the computer to perfect, optimized working order

PLEASE NOTE
: This computer has many advanced features, and there is a help manual provided, but the library staff cannot take the time to train you on how to use it.
If one of the librarians has time, they may volunteer to help you with a specific question, for a very short period of time. However, please don't expect our very busy staff to stop their work and tutor you... We just can't take the time to help everyone as much as we'd like to.

Online help guide - This has information about which programs are installed, and what each one is used for. (Remember, with this computer you can install your own software* if what we have already installed isn't suitable.)

* If you are bringing in our own commercial software to use, you are responsible to ensure that you have permission to install the software temporarily on our PC. We also strongly recommend that you use the Restore Disk on the PC when you are finished using it, to fully remove your software and avoid violating the terms of your software license.
