More good news for our Pineville Library computer users… Thanks to an Equalization* payment that was larger than last year, we had enough money left in the budget to replace the old, hard, non-rolling chairs used with the public computers – with these very comfortable heavy-duty rolling office chairs!
These chairs are very similar to the chairs purchased for the Anne Croxdale Memorial Library in Southwest City by their library foundation, and if you’ve ever used them you know how comfortable they are. The chairs are extra-heavy duty with a 400 lb. capacity and expected to last for many years of the sort of constant use we have here at the library.
Don’t take our word for it about how nice and comfortable they are… Drop by the Pineville library soon and see for yourself. We look forward to seeing you here!
*Equalization is financial aid from Missouri state revenue sources. Half of the state aid appropriation is distributed to qualifying public libraries on an equal per capita rate based upon the population according to the latest federal census. The balance is distributed in equalization payments to the most economically challenged libraries. http://www.sos.mo.gov/library/development/stateaid/
